Late in the evening on Monday, May 22, 2023, the 93rd Minnesota Legislature adjourned for the year, after finalizing key pieces of legislation. Throughout the past five months, the Minnesota Legislature met for 77 legislative days and adjourned before the Constitutional Deadline of midnight on May 22. Thursday, April 27, 2023The Chamber assists in hosting Minn. Business Roundtable
On April 12, Chamber President and CEO, Shannon Full; Moorhead Mayor, Shelly Carlson; and Clay County Commissioner, Jenny Mongeau hosted a Minnesota business roundtable with over 35 area leaders to discuss priorities specific to Clay County. The purpose of this roundtable was to hear directly from Chamber members, business owners and citizens.

Monday, April 24, 20232023 Voices of Vision Recap
We were honored to welcome Marcus Luttrell to our community as this year's Voices of Vision keynote speaker. Luttrell has dedicated his life to be of service and inspiration, which he showed our community on April 20, when he shared his story with all who attended the Voices of Vision event. Thanks to the nearly 2,000 Chamber and community members and hundreds of military service members in attendance, Voices of Vision 2023 was a great success, whereas we could all be touched by Luttrell's inspiring story

Monday, January 23, 2023The Chamber and MN Businesses Opposing Senate File 2 (SF2)
Currently, Senate File 2 (SF2) is moving through the Minnesota State Senate and is to be heard in the Senate Health and Services Committee tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. We are asking Senator Rob Kupec of District 4, who is a member of this committee, to oppose this bill, in an effort to keep payroll taxes low and to protect small and medium-sized businesses from burdensome mandates.

Tuesday, January 17, 2023The Chamber's 2023 legislative priorities for MN & ND
The Chamber has been working diligently in Bismarck since early last week to ensure that our area's voice, concerns and needs are heard as it relates to our most pressing challenges. Workforce was the topic of many bills this week; we actively advocated for the automation tax credit, workforce attraction dollars, career workforce academy funding, and support for NDSU and NDSCS.
