About Us
OUR MISSION
The Great North Pole’s mission is to help children and families in need in Cass & Clay county. Our goal is to bring joy and the spirit of Christmas to every household we touch. We are able to do this through our generous donors, national and local corporate partnerships, other local nonprofits and hundreds of volunteers from our community.
WHO WE ARE
By creating these invaluable local and national corporate relationships and strong community partnerships the Great North Pole multiplies many times over the original monetary donations made and turning those funds into retail goods. By stretching every dollar further it allows us to help more families in need and provide not only basic needs to our community members, but also winter wear and gifts to the children of these families.
The Gala is our primary means in raising the funds used to purchase all the wishes that are packaged up in December and delivered to those dreaming of a joyful Christmas. The Gala pays tribute to the efforts of the community coming together to help children and families in need while raising money and awareness for the Great North Pole.
Through funds raised at the Gala, we are able to purchase over 100 assorted products from basic needs (products like deodorant and toothbrushes) to items like winter gear, (coats, snow pants, hats & gloves) food items, and games for the kids like Jenga & Uno. The Great Plains Food bank is another community partner that helps us arrange over 2 weeks’ worth of food to be delivered to our families! These holiday boxes are delivered by volunteers.
