Military Appreciation Night
Military Appreciation Night at the RedHawks brings together hundreds of members of our military community and allows our community to celebrate their important contributions both home and abroad. It is always an honor to recognize our region’s military through a fun, family-friendly night of baseball and patriotism.
Each summer, The Chamber gives area military members and their families to this night with a game of baseball, a picnic with food and inflatable games, and special event surprises. From fireworks to flyovers, performances from the U.S. Navy SEAL team of Patriot Parachuters, recruits taking oath and a first pitch from a veteran, each event holds a lot of meaning to the people that serve our country and allows the community a night to thank them for their commitment and sacrifice.
Last year was our biggest event yet, and we are proud that with the help of our sponsors we were able to treat over 1,000 service members and their families to an incredible patriotic-filled evening of fun. We kicked the evening off with a picnic, inflatable games and photo opportunities with Hawkeye for military families.
The past several years, county music icon Lee Greenwood has joined us to sing the National Anthem and give a special performance during the 7th inning stretch.
In 2016, thanks to sponsor D-S Beverages, we were also treated to an appearance and photo opportunity with the famous Budwesier Clydesdales!
Our 2019 event will take place on Tuesday, June 18, at Newman Outdoor Field. Stay tuned for more information, coming soon!
