Join us at this annual event that brings our community together to ask questions of our local city’s leaders and talk about our region’s growth, goals and priorities. Where are we headed? What challenges do we face and what successes can we celebrate? We will have our local mayors representing their cities to provide updates, including Mayor Bernie Dardis in West Fargo, Mayor Johnathan Judd in Moorhead, Mayor Tim Mahoney in Fargo and Dilworth Mayor Chad Olson. Don’t miss out on this community-wide conversation.

  • Each January, we gather to reflect on four cities that make up our metro. As we kick off a new year, our community comes together to ask questions of the mayors of Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo and Dilworth and talk about the cities’ growth, goals and priorities.

During the 2019 State of the Cities address, the mayors shared not only their vision, but highlighted the hurdles and issues that affected our cities in the coming year.

The event provides a great opportunity for Chamber and community members to weigh in on the issues that you care about by asking questions directly to our city leaders. We open questions for the mayors prior to the event via an online form and allow live questions from the audience as well.

We also do live polling each year so that members and attendees can voice their opinion on various issues. This information is often cited in media reports, affects business planning, and helps our Chamber know where our members stand on certain matters. This year, workforce once again topped the list of important issues affecting the community, followed by mental and behavioral health. These polls help us understand where you fall on the issues so we can better guide our own Chamber events and efforts.
