    About Us

    Since 1932, the Historical and Cultural Society has collected, preserved, interpreted, and shared the history and culture of Clay County, MN. HCSCC museum preserves over 30,000 historic artifacts, including three historic properties in Clay County. They also manage and interpret the Hjemkomst Viking Ship replica and the Hopperstad Stave Church replica. HCSCC staff are available to present interesting and educational programs on various historical topics for groups on- and off-site. Membership is open to the public; members will receive the newsletter and discounts on archival research as well as free admission to HCSCC events and exhibits.
