Women Connect

Women Connect is just one of The Chamber’s monthly event programs, aimed to target the needs and development of professional women. Each session will be held the fourth Tuesday of each month at the DoubleTree By Hilton & West Fargo Conference Center from 3:30 to 5 p.m. followed by a social until 6 p.m. Each time you come to an event, you can expect knowledgeable speakers addressing a range of topics applicable to women in the modern workplace. But it’s not just inspiration and education that you can expect! There are also opportunities to network and connect with your peers and local leaders, delectable desserts to sweeten your day, social hours to keep the conversation going and charitable opportunities to give back.

To bring women together in a unique, courageous forum that will build connections, provide a space to be brave and explore what leadership means both personally and professionally.

  • To connect women with one another and strengthen their professional and personal networks.
  • Address the unique challenges women face in today’s business environment and provide the tools to develop skills necessary to positively affect their organization and community.
  • Promote and celebrate the significant role women play in the region’s economic strength. Women from a variety of sectors and career levels will learn from and be inspired to apply the information in their workplace, community and home life.
  • Provide a courageous space for women to embrace their goals and pursue their dreams with grit.

For the past five years, we’ve been thrilled to host national keynote speakers each January. At the first-ever Women Connect event, author Lynette Lewis dropped by to talk about climbing the ladder in stilettos. Then, Oprah-featured author Fawn Germer joined us to talk “Work-Life Reset” to a sell-out crowd of 600 women as we celebrated a successful first year. Next, we hosted blogger Jessica N. Turner who shared her secrets to finding fringe hours to do the things that you love. Last year, we welcomed Robyn Benincasa to talk about her adventure racing stories and how to work in a winning team. Most recently, best-selling author of Girl, Wash Your Face Rachel Hollis keynoted our biggest ever Chamber event with nearly 4,000 attendees!

PUSH, which stands for Pursue Dreams, Unite Women, Shatter Barriers and Have Heart, is a program extension off of Women Connect. This supportive network of women empowers each other to ask tough questions, challenge the norm and grow individually and professionally. We are currently accepting new PUSH groups!
