Lumen Vision was founded in 2020 by Dr. Ryan Capouch, Fellowship-Certified Pediatric and Vision Therapy Optometrist.
Previously, Dr. Capouch trained in family practice and pediatric optometry and found his passion for developmental optometry, a branch of eye care that treats school-aged children, athletes and brain injury patients. His desire to help patients meet their potential, alongside the increasing demand for his unique approach to vision therapy, led to the creation of Lumen Vision.
This small but mighty business has nine full-time employees who put in great work, performing an average of exams, glasses sold and vision therapy at a rate within the 99th percentile of all vision therapy and pediatric clinics in the entire country. Lumen’s unique approach to vision therapy treatment has garnered attention in the region because of their ability to complete treatment in less than half the average treatment time.
Lumen’s mission is to help children and their families build a brighter future through comprehensive eye care and optometric vision therapy. Dr. Capouch’s philosophy is that a happy team makes happy clients. Lumen has a bright team with a priority placed on culture and employee relations, and Dr. Capouch knows just how valuable his team is and strives to show his appreciation for, not only the important work his team is doing, but for the amazing people they are.
