Leadership FMWF participants (L to R): Hailey Hoffner, Brian Larson and Jaden Ross.

Nearly halfway through the Leadership FMWF program, participants are discovering just how much can change in a few short months. Through site visits, speaker sessions and community engagement, they’re finding new ways to lead, listen and lift others — both in their workplaces and across the region.

This month, meet three leaders who are putting those lessons into practice: Hailey Hoffner, Brian Larson and Jaden Ross. In this article, each shares how the program is shaping their outlook, expanding their networks and inspiring purposeful leadership.

Hailey Hoffner

Supreme Experience Conductor and Co-Owner, Drekker Brewing Company and Brewhalla

At Drekker Brewing Company and Brewhalla, Hailey Hoffner thrives on creating experiences that “destroy expectations.” Her work focuses on building systems, supporting teams ,and ensuring that culture and creativity remain at the center of everything the company does.

“Participating in Leadership FMWF allows me to connect more with the broader community, learn from other leaders in the region and bring new perspectives and ideas back to my team,” she said.

For Hailey, leadership is about creating an environment where people can thrive. “It’s not about having all the answers, but about listening, learning and helping others grow into their fullest potential.”

Outside of work, she brings that same grounded energy to another passion: yoga. A certified instructor, Hailey says teaching helps her balance her drive with mindfulness — “one of my favorite ways to unwind and chill out.”

Brian Larson

Associate Attorney – Ohnstad Twichell, P.C.

As an associate attorney focusing on litigation, estate and probate disputes, and personal injury matters, Brian Larson approaches his work with purpose and service. Leadership FMWF, he says, is helping him refine those same qualities as he grows within his firm and community.

“I’ve been fortunate to learn from exceptional attorneys and community leaders,” Brian shared. “Their mentorship has shaped my career and sense of purpose. Now, I want to develop my ability to mentor younger attorneys and give back to the community that’s given me so much.”

To Brian, leadership is built on trust and empowerment — “serving others with purpose and creating an environment where people can grow and succeed together.”

When he’s not in the courtroom, Brian’s adventurous spirit takes him to the table: “I’m an adventurous foodie and will try almost anything once,” he said. “Crickets, head cheese, Rocky Mountain oysters — even lutefisk.”

Jaden Ross

Marketing Consultant – MWC Advertising

As a marketing consultant, Jaden helps local businesses tell their stories and connect with the community. Through Leadership FMWF, she’s finding deeper meaning in those connections.

“Participating in this program has broadened my understanding of the challenges and opportunities in our region,” Jaden said. “It’s given me insight that helps me better serve clients and contribute more directly to our business community.”

Jaden describes leadership as “empowerment and connection” — the ability to listen, foster collaboration and inspire a shared purpose. A believer in Servant Leadership, she incorporates those values into both her professional and personal life.

She’s especially looking forward to the Community Change Initiatives: “The most powerful growth happens when you work through a problem and create a positive outcome alongside others.”

Outside the office, Jaden brings people together in a different way: through music. A self-taught guitarist since age 12, she performs regularly across the region, including Thursday nights at The Sandbox in West Fargo.

Looking Ahead: Building Leaders, Strengthening Community

As participants reach the midpoint of Leadership FMWF, their stories reflect a shared truth: leadership isn’t defined by position, but by perspective, connection and growth. These emerging leaders are shaping their impact and setting the stage for what’s next.

Applications for the next Leadership FMWF class open soon! Don’t miss your chance to be part of the journey.
