Your Vote Matters: A Message from our President & CEO
By Shannon Full, President & CEO, FMWF Chamber
For those who call North Dakota home, the upcoming North Dakota Primary Election is an opportunity to help shape the future of our communities, our region and our state.
As citizens, we each have the responsibility and privilege of participating in the democratic process. Local and state elections influence many of the issues that affect our daily lives, businesses and communities, including public safety, infrastructure, economic development, workforce initiatives and quality of life.
Whether you choose to vote early or on Election Day, I encourage you to take a few moments to learn about the candidates and issues that will appear on your ballot. An informed vote is a powerful vote.
To help make that process easier, The Chamber's Center for Civic Engagement has created VoteFMWF.org, a nonpartisan voter resource designed to help voters make informed decisions. The site includes election information, voter resources and candidate video profiles that allow voters to hear directly from candidates in their own words.
Visit VoteFMWF.org to:
• Learn about candidates and races
• Watch candidate video interviews
• Find voter resources and election information
• Prepare to cast an informed ballot
Early voting is available now through June 6, and Election Day voting will take place on June 9 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Strong communities are built by informed and engaged citizens. By taking the time to learn, participate and vote, you help shape the future of North Dakota and the communities we call home.
Thank you for being an active participant in our democracy.  It matters.
