Today (August 11) is primary election day in Minnesota! Polls are open across the state, and Minnesota voters can cast their ballots until 8 p.m.

Primary elections play an important role in determining the choices voters will have this November. Whether you vote before work, over lunch or on your way home, take a few minutes today to participate.

Know before you go: make your plan to vote

• Find your polling place - Your Election Day polling location is based on where you live. Clay County polling locations are open until 8 p.m. on August 11. Voters can utilize the Minnesota Secretary of State’s Polling Place Finder to find their polling location.
• Not registered? You can still vote. Minnesota voters can register at their polling place on Election Day. Be sure to review the Minnesota Secretary of State’s Election Day Registration Fact Sheet.
• Know what’s on your ballot. Visit VoteFMWF.org to explore candidate profiles and access nonpartisan information to help you prepare before casting your ballot.
