Discover how Setareh Campion, Director of Programs at The Chamber, is shaping the next generation of leaders through Leadership FMWF.
Leadership FMWF (LFMWF) shapes the next generation of leaders in the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo region, challenging them to grow, connect and make a real impact. At the heart of the program is Setareh Campion, Director of Programs, whose vision and guidance set the tone for each session and inspire participants to push beyond their comfort zones.
Before we introduce this year’s class, we wanted to spotlight the person behind the program. Read on to see Setareh’s perspective on what makes LFMWF unique, why she is passionate about developing leaders and what this year’s cohort can look forward to as they embark on their journey.
Meet the Leader Behind LFMWF, Setareh Campion
Setareh’s journey to leading LFMWF began with a simple passion: people. “I love to continually develop, and the chance to guide others in their leadership journey immediately drew me to this role,” she says. As director, Setareh serves not only as a facilitator but as a guide, helping participants engage with the program in ways that elevate both their personal and professional growth.
What Makes Leadership FMWF Stand Out
What makes LFMWF stand out is its unique blend of personal and professional development, and community immersion. Roughly half of the program’s content focuses on exploring the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo region itself. From behind-the-scenes business tours to panel discussions with local leaders, participants gain a first-hand look at the people, organizations and initiatives that drive the community. “It’s about connecting with the community,” Setareh explains, “and understanding how you can contribute as a leader within it.”
The program encourages participants to lean into both personal and professional growth. Workshops foster self-awareness and leadership skills, while networking opportunities allow participants to translate those lessons into their workplace and beyond. Setareh emphasizes that the connections participants make are often the most lasting impact of the program. Graduates leave with a network of peers and mentors, as well as the ability to leverage those relationships to benefit their teams, organizations and the broader community.
For those considering applying this winter, Setareh offers a piece of advice that captures the spirit of LFMWF: “Just do it. Don’t wait for the moment you feel ready—ready isn’t a feeling, it’s a choice. Be yourself, own your strengths and areas for growth, and be ready to get comfortable being uncomfortable.”
Looking Ahead: A New Cohort, New Opportunities
As the 2025–26 cohort continues its journey, Setareh is energized by the possibilities. Every year brings new lessons and fresh perspectives, and she is eager to see this group’s growth and impact. “They are so energetic, communicative and excited to grow,” she says, reflecting the optimism and enthusiasm that fuels the program each year.
Shaping the Future of Leadership
Setareh Campion’s leadership shapes experiences, perspectives and opportunities for participants to grow as leaders in their organizations and the community. Her passion and insight set the stage for a year of challenge, discovery and meaningful connection. Stay tuned as we follow this year’s cohort and see firsthand the impact LFMWF is making in the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo region.
