Nominations Open: Help Us Name YPN’s Next One to Watch

Celebrate rising leaders in our community and nominate a standout young professional for the YPN One to Watch Award today.
Every great leader starts somewhere. In the FMWF Chamber’s Young Professionals Network (YPN), we see incredible talent rising every day; people who bring fresh ideas, energy and leadership to their workplaces and our community. That’s why we created the YPN One to Watch Award: to shine a spotlight on the young professionals who are not just showing up, but standing out.
What Makes Someone “One to Watch”?
The One to Watch recognition celebrates a YPN member who:
- Takes an active role in YPN and The Chamber, making the most of every opportunity
- Strengthens their workplace with initiative and leadership
- Adds measurable value to their professional environment
- Engages meaningfully in the community
Think about the colleague who mentors new hires, the peer who always raises their hand for a project or the friend who quietly gives their time to causes that matter. Those are the ones who deserve the spotlight.
How It Works
Nominating someone is simple:
- Find the nomination details here and think about who you want to nominate.
- Submit your nomination on Oct. 8 to receive the official application link.
- Complete the application for your nominee with:
- Two letters of recommendation (one from a coworker, one from a peer or mentor)
- Written responses to:
- Why do you believe this person is the One to Watch?
- What three words best describe this person’s character?
Applications are reviewed by YPN committee leadership and finalized by Chamber representatives.
The One to Watch winner will be revealed on Jan. 22, 2026 at the YPN Holiday Party and shared on social media and in the Bridge magazine.
Why It Matters
Recognizing emerging leaders reminds us all to look around at our coworkers, peers and mentors and recognize the impact they’re already making. These rising leaders are shaping the future of our businesses and our region. And remember, sometimes the ones making the biggest difference aren’t the loudest, but they’re the ones we’ll be talking about years from now.
