Workforce Forum

Presented by the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Cass-Clay, in partnership with the Fargo-Moorhead HR Association and supported by the Good Jobs Challenge – EDA and Drive for Five.

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on your organization, career and community? The Workforce Forum on Nov. 21, 2024, will help business leaders, HR professionals, educators and workforce advocates create positive changes that improve our region’s workforce challenges.

The Workforce Forum will teach essential strategies, provide data and share resources to help organizations navigate the workforce landscape. Here are five compelling reasons why you should attend:

1. Hear from influential leaders and HR implementors

At the Workforce Forum, you'll have the opportunity to hear from some of the region's most influential workforce thought leaders. The event features a variety of speakers sharing crucial insights on how inclusion, demographic trends and workforce migration are shaping the future of work.

Additionally, our panel discussions will feature experts from companies like Bobcat Company, Essentia Health and Flint Group, who have proven to successfully tackle the most pressing workforce barriers. These speakers will share practical solutions to overcome challenges and build a stronger, more inclusive workplace.

2. Gain industry insights on workforce trends

Stay ahead of the curve by learning about the latest workforce trends and regional data. The Workforce Forum will provide insights into current workforce gaps, emerging needs and how businesses can adapt to create a competitive edge. With presentations and community insights from organizations like Folkways, the SouthEastern North Dakota Community Action Agency (SENDCAA) and thought leaders like CareerViewXR, you’ll understand the key factors driving workforce change in our region.

These insights will help you make informed decisions to address workforce challenges and enhance your organization's strategies for growth and retention.

3. Be a part of the workforce expo and build partnerships

Networking is another valuable aspect of the Workforce Forum. The event provides dedicated time for you to connect with other HR professionals, business leaders, nonprofit agencies and community organizations. Whether you’re seeking new partnerships, sharing ideas or looking to collaborate on regional workforce initiatives, the Workforce Forum is a fantastic opportunity to expand your network.

We are hosting a Workforce Expo to spotlight community services and workforce support organizations like yours. Each participating organization will have a dedicated 6-foot table to display materials, as well as a listing in the online event program. We ask that each organization have at least one representative present throughout the day. This opportunity is free.

Spaces are limited and must be reserved by November 11 at 5 p.m. Sign up here.

Be sure to take advantage of the Workforce Expo and networking sessions throughout the day to engage with like-minded professionals dedicated to improving workforce outcomes.

4. Earn professional development credits

As part of our commitment to supporting professional growth, in collaboration with the FMHRA, the Workforce Forum is offering PDC for attendees. This event allows HR professionals and business leaders to earn valuable PDCs while learning from top experts in the field. It’s the perfect way to combine professional development with meaningful content that you can apply directly to your organization.

5. Collaborate on workforce solutions

The Workforce Forum is all about collaboration and problem-solving. Sessions and panels are designed to help attendees explore ways to bridge workforce gaps, promote inclusion and strengthen regional economic development. Through discussions on local resources, community partnerships and state workforce development programs, you’ll leave the forum equipped with practical solutions and strategies to make a real impact in your organization and community.

The Workforce Forum is a must-attend event for anyone involved or interested in workforce development, human resources and regional economic growth.
