    RESPONSIBILITIES     
    Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Listener Engagement Coordinator (50%):
    In conjunction with the Program Director, develop, plan, and coordinate all Listener Engagement efforts including concerts, community outreach events, remotes, and other station related initiatives.  Represent Life 97.9 at events or host events as needed.  Interact with Home Office marketing team on website, social media, press releases, and marketing needs.   Keep an inventory of promotional items and recommend future purchases.  Work with the Program Director to collect new names for the station data base at all community appearances, contests, concerts and outreach events.   Secure donations of prizes and premiums for station fundraisers.      
                                                                                            
    On-Air Announcer (50%):
    Responsible to host a weekday air shift as assigned by the Program Director.  Meet regularly with Program Director to identify strengths, weaknesses and any changes necessary to further target and grow on air.  Demonstrate passion for the Fargo/Moorhead community by being a friendly and welcoming presence to listeners at assigned community events which, at times, will be outside normal working hours.  Because our community is a significant part of our mission and the development of our students, all employees act as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ by actively partnering with the University to disciple students in growing intellectually and spiritually, and with Northwestern Media to lead people to Christ and nurture believers to mature in their faith.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum Education and Experience:  High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Previous promotions/event planner experience required.  Previous broadcast experience a plus.  Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintain a kind, Christ-like attitude in dealing with and ministering to people within and outside of Northwestern; and faithfully uphold and embrace the University of Northwestern’s mission, doctrinal statement and Declaration of Christian Community.
