    The Opportunity

    Ulteig is currently seeking talented and motivated engineering candidates to support power system studies and NERC compliance documentation on projects within the renewable energy and power markets.

     

    What You'll Do

    The engineer is expected to perform studies utilizing PSS®E, PSCAD and other software packages, to train, coach and mentor other engineers within the company in power systems studies, and to identify and support business development and project opportunities. It is preferred this individual have previous experience with steady-state and dynamic analysis utilizing PSS®E and experience with renewable energy projects. If desired and as project workload allows, engineer will have the ability to work in other areas of power system analysis, design, and testing that Ulteig is currently involved in, or that is seen as an area of potential growth for the company.

     

    What We Expect from You

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required, ABET accredited program or equivalent required
    • A minimum of 3 years of industry relevant experience is preferred
    • PE certification preferred
    • Experience with PSS®E steady-state and dynamic models preferred
    • Experience with renewable energy projects preferred
    • Independently completes assigned tasks required
    • Must be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude
    • Excellent presentation and verbal/written communications skills
    • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, clients and external agencies
    • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S
