    The Opportunity

    Ulteig is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Client Development Specialist position for the Client Solutions department. This role will focus on growing and maintaining strategic partnerships throughout the organization.  As well as being responsible for the creation of technical proposals and project cost estimates for the opportunities leveraging our strategic partners.  The objective of the position is to produce high quality bids and on-time submittals with accurate cost estimates that facilitate the successful execution of projects.  This role is unique because it provides the opportunity to deliver strong business growth in a competitive market leveraging both business development skills and engineering experience. The Client Development Specialist has the potential to significantly impact to our overall business by developing influential relationships with current and new clients to sustain and grow the business.


    What You'll Do

    Interact closely with other corporate business units such as technical services, marketing, account management and project management. The Client Development Specialist is a self-starting sales and/or technical leader with expertise in leadership, communication, resource management and engagement, business acumen, industry framework, and consulting engineering.

    Strategic Partnerships - 50%

    • Engages with the industry and communities to effectively represent Ulteig, enhance Ulteig’s reputation and to build high impact and influential relationships with new and current partners.
    • Identifies and pursues new opportunities with (new and existing) partners within the markets we serve.
    • Drives partnership development and facilitates initial implementation.
    • Partners with marketing and communication team members to 1) review market research and competitive assessment information and incorporate into planning work 2) ensure materials and information effectively captures the value proposition and is effective with clients.
    • Works with technical team to identify and allocate resources to partnerships and other business activities.
    • Collaborates with internal and external individuals at all levels within an organization in a team-based environment.
    • Maintains the integrity of partnership opportunity information.
    • Maintains and builds positive client and partnership relationships.
    • Leads internal and external client meetings.

    Proposal Responsibilities – 50%

    • Participates and partners with members of the Sales team and engineers throughout the organization to promote revenue growth and expansion of services with existing and prospective clients.
    • Participates with cross functional team on strategic initiatives for the company and/or department. 
    • Leads project proposal, work orders and estimating efforts
    • Manages all aspects of proposal creation ensuring required timelines are met
    • Optimizes scope to specifically address client needs, be competitive and ensure value proposition is clear and compelling
    • Partners with Technical and Field teams and secures input from all necessary stakeholders
    • Manages and/or facilitate subcontract elements of proposal
    • Prepares the proposal project plan; manages assignment, collection and organization of proposal
    • Establishes company-wide consistency for proposals, templates, corporate guidelines, and other standards; stays abreast of industry standards and best practices
    • Assists with the creation of proposal resources and tools such as a library of standard/templated responses
    • Responsible for the integrity of CRM data for opportunities
    • Ensures integrity and competitiveness of estimates
    • Collaborates with clients and their procurement teams
    • Collaborates with internal and external individuals at all levels within an organization in a team-based environment.
    • Maintains the integrity of the client and sales opportunity information.
    • Leads internal and external client meetings.
    • All other duties as assigned


    What We Expect from You

    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Proposal, Technical Sales or Engineering field required.
    • Experience in Power Utility or Renewable industry.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
    • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, public and external agencies.
    • High level of initiative and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with clear expectations and timelines.
    • Demonstrates excellent verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access) and additional software knowledge depending on specialty.
    • Must have permanent authorization to work in US.
