Due to our continued growth and expansion into new markets, we are on the search for a Human Resources Administrative Assistant to join our team.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
The position of HR Administrative Assistant is responsible for supportive tasks and duties in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, benefits, HRIS maintenance, and office administration. This position supports the needs of the reception desk while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the Human Resources department.
Assists in the recruitment and onboarding process by scheduling interviews, processing pre-employment screenings, setting up new employee files, preparing new hire orientation packets, and updating systems spreadsheets per the new hire checklist
Assists with planning and execution of special events such as organization-wide meetings, employee recognition, and culture club initiatives
Acts as an administrative resource for other departments within the company, to include data entry, filing, and reconciling invoices
Directs visitors, phone-calls, and mail correspondence to the appropriate team member
Manages breakroom and office supply inventory maintains common area equipment
Helps complete monthly and annual compliance tasks including labor law poster updates, collecting payroll forms, and reviewing benefit invoices
Performs periodic audits of files and systems to ensure required documents data are collected and filed appropriately
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to admin HR duties
Participate in special projects in the areas of onboarding, benefits, and talent development
Ideal Candidate Qualities
Previous administrative experience required; experience within a prior HR role or department preferred
Formal education in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
Interest in pursuing a long-term career within the Human Resources field
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with tact and professionalism
Great attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and strong organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to sort, filter, and enter data in Microsoft Excel
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn a human resource information system (HRIS)
