• Administrative Assistant (SLS Program)

  • Full-time, Benefited, 40 hours per week position
    Monday–Friday days, with occasional evening and weekend on-call responsibilities.

    The Supported Living Services (SLS) Department operates and staffs 36 homes 24/7 helping people with disabilities to live more independently and to reach their life goals and dreams.

    Responsibility: The SLS Administrative Assistant is a resource for team members and provides supervision to the Direct Support Professional (DSP) floats. The SLS Administrative Assistant’s main responsibility is to provide administrative support to the Residential Coordinators. This support includes tracking DSP training, car insurance, driver's license, CPR, etc. Completes medication class testing and assists with interviewing DSP candidates, payroll processing, scheduling open shifts and updating employee schedules. Assists with quality assurance documentation. Provides support to the SLS department by responding to incoming crisis calls from team members regarding scheduling or person-specific concerns. Participates in the crisis responder rotation. Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements: Six months of full-time work experience providing direct care services to people with disabilities or people who are elderly (age 65 and older).

    Preferred Requirements:
    Bachelor's Degree in a human service-related field and one year of full-time experience providing direct care services to people with disabilities or people who are elderly (age 65 and older).
    OR
    Associate’s Degree in a field related to human service related and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to people with disabilities or people who are elderly (age 65 and older).
    OR
    A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited post secondary institution and three years of full-time experience providing direct care services to people with disabilities or people who are elderly (age 65 and older).
    OR
    A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities AND four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to people with disabilities or people who are elderly (age 65 and older) under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified above.

    Previous customer service or scheduling experience preferred. Excellent communication and documentation skills necessary. Must have the ability to implement and maintain organizational systems and maintain accurate records. Must have the ability to work with team members, families, and professionals in the community. Must have computer skills and familiarity with a variety of software applications including word processing and spreadsheet experience. Must have transportation and a current driver's license, car insurance and a safe driving record. Must pass a criminal background check. Supervisory experience preferred.
