The Fargo Public Library will host two sessions on the basics of digital photography Aug. 5 and Aug. 6 at the downtown Main Library.
Bob Splichal, a self-taught advanced photographer, will lead the sessions for people who want to take better photos but are not sure what all of the buttons and knobs on a DSLR camera are for.
The second session, “The Art of Photography,” will include a recap of the exposure triangle, along with learning how to create height, depth and width in photos to make them more appealing. This session is Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. Splichal will also discuss data cards, LCD screens and battery life with regard to cameras.
Participants are asked to bring their own DSLR camera and its manual to each session. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Register online or call the Main Library Information Desk at 701.241.1492.
Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public. Adults must accompany children ages 9 and younger. For more information regarding the Fargo Public Library and a list of upcoming events, visit www.fargolibrary.org
