The Fargo Public Library will host two sessions on the basics of digital photography Aug. 5 and Aug. 6 at the downtown Main Library.
Bob Splichal, a self-taught advanced photographer, will lead the sessions for people who want to take better photos but are not sure what all of the buttons and knobs on a DSLR camera are for.
At the first session, “Photography Basics,” participants will learn how to take better pictures while in auto mode and why and how to use the advanced auto settings on a digital camera. This session is Monday, Aug. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. Splichal will cover the basic aspects of the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed and ISO).
Participants are asked to bring their own DSLR camera and its manual to each session. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Register online or call the Main Library Information Desk at 701.241.1492.
Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public. Adults must accompany children ages 9 and younger. For more information regarding the Fargo Public Library and a list of upcoming events, visit www.fargolibrary.org.
