About the presenters
Rob Engstrom is the founder of Wolfe Street Partners and Chief Political Strategist at the American Bankers Association. Previously, he served as a senior political strategist, senior vice president, and the national political director at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and was responsible for directing the Chamber's national political, grassroots, and election-related activities. In 2014, Engstrom oversaw the most aggressive voter education campaign in U.S. Chamber history, which led to the largest pro-business majority in the House of Representatives since 1928 and the first pro-business majority in the Senate since 2006. Building on this accomplishment, Engstrom spearheaded the U.S. Chamber's successful 2016 election efforts to grow the pro-business majority in the House of Representatives and maintain the pro-business majority in the Senate. He directed the largest and most sophisticated get-out-the-vote effort in U.S. Chamber history and helped secure victories for 95 percent of U.S. Chamber-endorsed candidates. Engstrom managed all member activities for the Chamber's Federation, which includes thousands of state, local, and metro chambers of commerce and hundreds of trade and professional associations. Formerly, Engstrom served as senior vice president of Political and State Affairs for the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform. Before joining the Chamber, Engstrom was director of the Division of Political Education at the Republican National Committee from 1998 to 2002, including a five-week stint on the Florida recount team for then-President-elect George W. Bush. Prior to the RNC, he worked on former Speaker Newt Gingrich's campaign in Roswell, Georgia. In 2013, Engstrom was recognized as one of the top 50 Influencers of the 2014 election cycle by Campaigns & Elections: The Magazine for People in Politics. In 2009, Engstrom was recognized as a "Rising Star" by the same magazine. Engstrom is Founder & CEO of Wolfe Street Partners, an advocacy firm focused on advising trade associations and other strategic partners. He was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and is a graduate of Baylor University in Texas. He currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife Celina.
