About the Summits

There is a continued and pressing need for cultivating top-tier workforce talent in all industries across the region. The FMWF Chamber Foundation invites your organization's human resources, operations, and recruitment professionals and champions to our upcoming Ignite Visioning Summits. Join us for fresh, timely and useful content, meaningful and energetic discussions, and a showcase of solutions in October.

We are offering eight industry-specific summits to discuss workforce obstacles that challenge our businesses today and in the future. Each summit will feature a presentation plus a Q&A session with John Pallasch, Former Assistant Secretary for Employment and Training for the U.S. Department of Labor. We will also highlight the Ignite Initiative Regional Workforce Training System (IIRWTS), which brings together industries, businesses, non-profits, educators and community partners to train and retain our region's workforce.

All eight sessions will be targeted toward hiring professionals from those specific industries, and sessions will be tailored per industry to effectively discuss solutions and address challenges regarding our workforce. Sessions will also include multiple presentations and discussions about current and upcoming opportunities to overcome obstacles for recruiting, hiring, and retaining untapped talent. Microsoft has generously provided the space for these sessions, as well as lunch for attendees.

John is a results-driven leader with more than 20 years experience impacting organizational personnel, efficiency, and productivity in leadership roles in the public and non-profit sectors, as well as a previous Presidential campaign. He is an analytical problem solver, adept at strategically evaluating talent, performance, and operations to identify and leverage opportunities for overall improvement. John is a customer service expert skilled at turning around under-performing business units and at building an organization-wide focus on quality service delivery. He is known for an open door managerial approach, a commitment to gathering input from front line employees, and for developing consensus behind big picture strategic planning and change initiatives.

Shannon Full became the president and CEO of the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce in December 2020. Full has lead chambers and economic development organizations for over 20 years across four states. She is an experienced relationship and community leader with a proven track record of developing solution-based strategies, building coalitions and bringing ideas to action through implementation. Full believes that believes chambers should serve as a catalyst and active listener to identify major regional issues, co-create solutions with key leadership, and collaboratively bring those ideas to fruition.
