This month, we take a closer look at some of the big, new and innovative ideas and solutions happening in our metro when it comes to the education landscape. From creative and hands-on classroom settings, to major initiatives and funding that will have an impact for decades to come, we are all working toward a common goal of making FMFW the absolute best place to learn, contribute, work, do business and, ultimately, live. This is also a time to focus on the accomplishments, challenges and crucial next steps related to workforce and talent in our region.
Many of you may already know, but I am glad to update you with the news that Fueling Our Future (FOF), alongside community partners, investors and champions, have been working on the 2.0 version of the initiative. FOF 1.0 brought an abundance of growth and progress to the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo community since the initial kickoff in 2019, and it’s now poised to continue its path of excellence as it enters its next stage of development: FOF 2.0. This community-wide initiative helps businesses and public sector leaders advance ideas that impact us all, and it has big plans for the rest of 2022 and the next several years.
Our education landscape plays an absolutely critical role in the growth and vibrancy of our region. We are proud to highlight this in The Bridge this month, and to continue working alongside all of our education, business, public sector and community partners to continue innovating and evolving what it means to learn in FMWF.

In September we will be welcoming Carey Lohrenz to the stage for our 2022 Women Connect Celebration; if you’re a fan of Top Gun you’ll certainly be a fan of this event. Our Annual Celebration & Legacy Leader Presentation is coming up in October – stay tuned as we will soon announce our Legacy Leader – and the Midwest Energy Summit in November.
